Freaky Fridays! Vintage Halloween Costumes

    Today I decided to turn my usual Fashion Friday column into Freaky Friday in honor of Halloween next Tuesday.
    As with most things vintage the graphics on the masks as well as the boxes that they came in tend to be much more of a visual treat than what you can find today.
    Granted, today's masks are much more realistic but, they are not nearly as artful!
    I think that a collection of vintage Halloween masks would make for a great wall display!
    The Skeleton costume pictured above is one of two costumes that are included in an auction over on ebay.
    The other costume of the lot is a Blue Fairy costume.
    Both costumes are stated to be "in no shape to wear". But, would be good items for the aforementioned decorating idea!

Gypsy Woman

     As a child I was intrigued by gypsies and I still am today.
    The ornately painted caravans and their style of dress fascinated me.
    Several months ago I read a biography about Django Reinhardt. Who was a true gypsy and lived in a caravan outside of Paris.
    When I got married last month we had the Gypsy Jazz Trio play at our wedding.
    So, it is no surprise that I find this mask to be interesting.
