Antique & Vintage Dance Cards
Dance cards are a reminder of much more romantic and intriguing times.
I think that it would have been so much fun to have boys write down their names for a dance!
It would have been exhilarating to see if the boy(s) you liked asked you to dance.
But, there was also a definite chance at heartbreak if no one wanted to dance with you.
I am lucky enough to own some beautiful old dance cards.
My favorite ones are the kinds with the cut out Art Deco graphics of people.

Grace,
Thank you for your comments!
It must be so hard to be away for your kitty!
Cats make such great companions, don't they?!?

I loved learning about dance cards. What fun and how sweet! The images are delightful. I collect vintage postcards but these would be so fun to collect too. Very tempting!
Aren't they cute! -Lulu

Loved your post! I have some of my grandma's dance cards and I'm trying to think of a fun way to display them. Any ideas? I was thinking a shadow box or something. I saw a vintage sketchbook that was framed in Anthropologie that took out all the sketches and had them displayed. It was darling. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Hi Sarah,
That's great that you have your grandma's dance cards!
A way that I like to display my ephemera is by pinning up a long string near the top of the walls around my house and using paper clips or clothes pins to hanging things up.
